Bacon Wrapped Asparagus

Bacon Wrapped Asparagus

Ever since my wife found this recipe on Nourishing Days (here) it has been a favorite.  It is simple and delicious.  Two distinct flavors that go together perfectly.

Wrapping the Asparagus

Preparation

This is just a really simple recipe.  Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.  Snap off the bottoms of the asparagus (we have always used fresh, frozen would probably work too), then wrap with bacon.  Depending on the size of the asparagus you will probably have to trim the bacon slice some.  Place on a broiler pan.  After about 20 minutes, check every few minutes until the bacon is to your liking.

Enjoy

Once the bacon is cooked to your liking, remove from the oven.  Let cool, then eat.  I love these so much.  Even people of the non-paleo type love these.  I like them hot or cold.

I always love the combination of meat and veggie in a recipe. The picture alone can already tell that it’s delicious.
