Carnivore Christmas

Why Paleo
carnivor christmas presents

Our DNA hasn't changed since Caveman days, but our tools have!

I got lots of great gifts this Christmas.  It is easy to shop for the paleo person in your life.  Cooking tools!  My favorite part of any hobby / lifestyle is buying the tools.

Cuts of Meat T-shirt

I love this shirt.  Not only does it look great, but when I go to the butcher all I have to do is point to the cut of meat I want.

J.A. Henckels International 3-Piece Paring Knife Set is great.  These are useful multipurpose knifes with stainless steal blades.  They are dishwasher safe and have a lifetime warranty.

J.A. Henckels International Forged Premio Meat Cleaver is a beautiful tool.  This is great for chopping through joints and bones.  Best for poultry and smaller bones, I like the hand grip.  It is dishwasher safe, but I prefer to hand wash it.  I works great to breakup the chicken bones before making broth.

Yoshi Blade Ceramic Knife with Bonus Ceramic Peeler is working great so far.  I’m always a bit leery about as seen on TV stuff, but it is a sharp knife.  You have to know the limitations of this knife.  You can only use it with boneless cuts of meat and just on a wooden or plastic cutting surface.  However, it is supposed to stay sharper longer than metal knives.  I don’t see myself using this every day, but you can’t have too many knives.

Zwilling J.A. Henckels Twin L Kitchen Shears are handy to have around.  I like to have a few kitchen shears in my cooking tool collection.  They are just so handy for many things.  I use them to cut up roasts when making stew.  Once you get a pair you’ll find lots of ways to use them.

It never hurts to dress the part.  I think this will be handy to use, especially when grilling.  It has pockets on the bottom for your tools and it will keep meat juice of your clothes.
